<br />CONTRACTS IN PROCESS. The status of 11 contracts-in-process for approximately $12 million is .' <br />listed below. <br /> <br />1. Chatfield South Water District, a loan authorized by HB98-1189 in the amount of $500,000 to <br />purchase water rights. The contract is being routed for final approval from the State <br />Controller. <br /> <br />2. DeWeese Dye Ditch & Reservoir Company, a loan authorized by HB98-1189 for $734,000 for <br />the rehabilitation of the DeWeese Dam. The Borrower was provided with contract <br />documents for signature on February 19, 1999. <br /> <br />3. City of Fort Morgan, an amendment to allow the City's bonds to have parity with our loan as <br />approved by the Board at its July 1997 meeting and to secure the remainder of the collateral <br />required by the Board's approval. A revised draft of the amendment was submitted to the <br />City for review on March 19, 1999. <br /> <br />4. City of Fort Morgan, a loan authorized by HB98-1189 in the amount of $8,000,000 out of the <br />Construction Fund and the Severance Tax Trust Fund for the final segment of the Southern <br />Water Supply Pipeline. A draft of the contract documents was transmitted to the Borrower on <br />March 19, 1999. <br /> <br />5. Jefferson County, a grant totaling $50,000 from the Severance Tax Trust Fund Operating <br />Account; $20,000 approved by the Board at its November 1997 meeting and an additional <br />$30,000 is up for Board approval at the January 1999 meeting. The contract was routed for <br />final approval by the State Controller on February 22, 1999. <br /> <br />6. Leroux Creek Water Users Association, a loan approved by the Board at the July 1998 . <br />meeting in the amount of $300,000 from the Emergency Infrastructure Account. The contract <br />was routed for final approval by the State Controller on March 18, 1999. <br /> <br />7. Military Park Reservoir Company, an amendment to establish the final loan amount. The <br />contract was submitted to the Borrower for signature on March 10, 1999. <br /> <br />8. New Cache La Poudre Irrigation Company, an amendment to establish the final loan amount. <br />The contract was submitted to the Borrower for signature on March 11, 1999. <br /> <br />9. North Poudre Irrigation Company, a loan authorized by HB98-1189 in the amount of <br />$500,000 to rehabilitate portions of the company's system. The contract was routed to the <br />State Controller for final approval on March 18, 1999. <br /> <br />10. U. S. Geological Survey, a joint funding agreement for the Kiowa Core project in conjunction <br />with the Colorado Water Resources and the Denver Museum of Natural History. The <br />agreement was sent to the USGS for signature on January 29,1999. <br /> <br />11. U. S. Fish and Wildlife, a grant authorized out of the Fish and Wildlife Resources Account by <br />SB97-8 In the amount of $1,250,000 for the Grand Valley Water Management Project <br />proposed by the Recovery Implementation Program for the endangered fish species of the <br />Upper Colorado River basin. A draft contract was submitted to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife on <br />August 5, 1998 for its review. <br /> <br />PROJECTS AWAITING CONTRACTING. There are 67 contracts (49 project loans and 18 contract <br />amendments), including the projects on this year's Construction Fund Bill, valued at $61 million that . <br />are awaiting contracting. <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION.
