As per the Procedures for New Instream Flow Appropriations (Procedures), adopted by the Board <br />in May 1997, the attached Phase II streams are being proposed to be advanced to the Public Review <br />and Comment and Board Action Phase, or Phase III. These instream flow segments have been <br />reviewed by CWCB staff to ensure each flow recommendation and data set is complete and standard <br />methods and procedures have been followed. In addition, staff has completed its map work and <br />initial water availability studies. <br /> <br />Staff has identified one stream segment ready for Phase III. This reach is located in Grand County. <br />To date, staffhas worked with Dave Merritt, engineer for the Colorado River Water Conservation <br />District (CRWCD) regarding this recommendation. Staff, along with Colorado Division of Wildlife <br />(CDOW) personnel are also planning on attending the July 22, 1998, CRWCD Meeting in <br />G1enwood, to answer any questions regarding this recommendation. <br /> <br />TECHNICAL INVESTIGATIONS <br /> <br />The enclosed packet of technical data forms the basis for the staffs recommendations. <br /> <br />Natural Environment Studies <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The CDOW and CRWCD have conducted field surveys of the fishery resources on this stream and <br />have found a natural environment to be preserved.
