Proiect Description: The District is proposing to replace its existing Plateau Creek Pipeline with
a new line from Jerry Creek Reservoirs to the Ute Water Treatment Plant near Palisade as shown
on the attached map, The [mal design includes 14.5 miles of 48-inch and 54-inch diameter steel
pipe as well as two tunnels of 3,000 and 10,000 feet in length. The first phase of the project
involved 1,5 miles of pipeline and was completed in May 1999, The second and final phase
consists of about 13 miles of pipeline and is scheduled for completion in October of200l, To
date, the District has spent about $7,9 million for planning, permitting, engineering, rights of
way and easements and construction, Remaining project costs are estimated at $47,5 million,

Total Estimated Cost: $55,360,000

Existinl! Authorizations: SB 88-30 for a total of$IO,6 million (Construction Fund) and SB 99-
173 for $7,0 million (Severance Tax Trust Fund)
