<br />~ / <br />, <br />, <br /> <br />The results of the analysis indicate a rate of return of 4.43 percent for loans only and 1.9lpercent a <br />for loans plus grants. The rate of return is dependent upon the lending rate structure and the ,., <br />volume of loans and grants in any given year. As shown in Table I, loans and grants are about <br />$19.9 million and $4.1 million respectively for 1999. <br /> <br />An analysis was also conducted to estimate the volume of grants in 1999, which would result in a <br />4.0 percent rate of return given the list of recommended loans for the year. That analysis <br />indicates that total grants would have to be reduced to about $600,000 to attain a 4.0 percent rate <br />of return. <br /> <br />Table 1.
