<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />There will be a two-pronged approach to publicizing "A River's Journey - Water in the <br />West", First, will be to let educators know it is available and second will be to let the general <br />public know it is available, <br /> <br />Publicity to the educators will include letters sent to principals and educators of all Colorado <br />schools by the Colorado Foundation for Agriculture. (Estimated number of schools: 1,700,) <br />The Colorado Division of Wildlife will provide information in their Colorado Connections <br />newsletter to educators, (Estimated number of teachers: 20,000.) The Department of <br />Education will send information to teachers registered as environmental educators. <br />(Estimated number of teachers: 1,250,) The Denver Post Newspapers in Education will put <br />ordering information in the educational resources catalog, (Estimated number of teachers: <br />37,000,) In addition, cattlewomen, farm bureau members and other ag ambassadors will <br />hand deliver the CDs to teachers and libraries in their communities, <br /> <br />Publicity for the general pubic will include stories in agricultural magazines like The Fence <br />Post, Arkansas Valley Journal, Colorado Farmer-Stockman, Colorado Farm Bureau <br />Newsletter and other commodity and agricultural newsletters, (Estimated audience: <br />140,000,) The Denver Post will promote the CD in Colorado Kids and ads for NIE <br />educational programs. (Estimated audience: 500,000,) Water and Soil Conservation <br />Districts will be asked to tell their local newspapers and radio stations about the CD ROM, <br />(Estimated audience: 500,000.) In addition, "A River's Journey - Water in the West" will be <br />featured in "Colorado It's Agricultural" display at the National Western Stock Show. <br />(Estimated audience: 100,000,) In addition press releases with sample CD ROMs will be <br />sent to major print and electronic media statewide, <br /> <br />.
