101 CONCERNING AUGMENTATION REQUIREMENTS FOR WATER WELL PUMPING

Soecial water committee. Extends the repeal date of the special
water committee to July 1, 200 I.
Extends the commencement of more stringent augmentation plans for
pumping from Denver basin aquifers to July 1, 2001.
Authorizes the special water committee to oversee the state engineer
and the director of the Colorado water conservation board studies of
streambed conductance, stream gain-loss measurements, and improved
simulation of stream~aquifer interaction.
Requires the state engineer and the director of the Colorado water
conservation board to develop an improved ground water model and
improved data collection program to support the development of a decision
support system for the South Platte river basin.
Authorizes the state engineer to promulgate rules to enhance the
collection of data from wells in the Denver basin aquifers,

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado:

SECTION 1. 37-90-137 (9) (c) (II) and (9) (c.5) (II), Colorado

Revised Statutes, are amended to read:

37-90-137. Permits to construct wells outside designated basins
