Delivery: 90,000 acre-feet <br /> <br />Project Name: Larimer and Weld Ditch <br />Drainage Basin: South Platte <br /> <br />Total Project Cost: $1,286,612 <br /> <br />Type of Borrower: Agricultural <br /> <br />CWCB Small Project Loan: $1,000,000 <br /> <br />Intetest Rate: 2.75% <br /> <br />Term: 30 years <br /> <br />The Larimer and Weld Irrigation Company (LWIC) oper~tes a system of approximately 40 miles of <br />supply ditch, including control structures, checks and headgates, The LWIC service area extends <br />from the Cache la Poudre diversion north of Fort Collins east to near the town of Galeton, <br />encompassing approximately 86,000 acres, 55,000 acres of which are irrigated farm land. The <br />Company has direct flow rights from their diversion in t~e Cache la Poudre River, and is also a <br />carrier ditch for reservoir water owned by their stockholgers and stockholders in several other ditch <br />and reservoir companies, as well as CBT water owned by stockholders. Total water delivered <br />through the Larimer & Weld system averages approxirnately 90,000 acre-feet per year. The LWIC <br />is applying for an $1,000,000 Small Projects Loan from'the Construction Fund to rehabilitate and <br />replace 10 check structures and install one new check $tructure. The existing check structures are <br />concrete structures ranging from 25 to 14 feet in width. . The new checks will have automated, air- <br />operated Obermeyer gates to control the upstream water surface elevation.
