<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />REQUIREMENTS OF THIS ARTICLE. <br /> <br /> <br />(2) THE OFFICE OF SMART GROWTH MAY AWARD GRANTS TO ANY LOCAL GOVERNMENT BASED ON NEED AS <br /> <br /> <br />DETERMINED BY THE OFFICE. <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 20 24-32-3203 (3) (d), Colorado Revised Statutes, is amended to read: <br /> <br /> <br />24-32-3203. Office of smart growth - creation - powers and duties of executive director. (3) The executive <br /> <br /> <br />director shaH have the foHowing powers and duties in administering this part 32: <br /> <br /> <br />(d) To review and approve applications for grants awarded by the office out of moneys in the fund to assist a local <br /> <br /> <br />government, as applicable, in developing a master plan in conformity with section 30-28-106 or 31-23-206, C.R-S., OR IN <br /> <br /> <br />DEVELOPING A PUBLIC WORKS PLAN IN CONFORMITY WITH SECTION 29-20.5-103, C.R-S., and to determine the amount of <br /> <br /> <br />money to be awarded under each such grant pursuant to section 24-32-3207 (2); <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 30 Effective date. This act shaH take effect at 12:01 a.m. on the day foHowing the expiration of the <br /> <br /> <br />ninety-day period after final adjournment of the general assembly that is aHowed for submitting a referendum petition <br /> <br /> <br />pursuant to article V, section 1 (3) of the state constitution; except that, if a referendum petition is filed against this act or <br /> <br /> <br />an item, section, or part of this act within such period, then the act, item, section, or part, if approved by the people, shall <br /> <br /> <br />take effect on the date of the official declaration of the vote thereon by proclamation of the governor. <br /> <br />-5- <br /> <br />HB <br />
