<br />.3. <br /> <br />additions: "Be it further resolved that the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />does hereby endorse the inclusion in President Bush's proposed budget for <br />Fiscal year 2003 of $351 million for FEMA to conduct floodplain mapping <br />activities nationwide, of which a reasonable and equitable portion would be <br />earmarked for the State of Colorado, providing that State and local matching <br />requirements are met, and that the U. S. Congress should be urged to support <br />the President's budget in that regard." The motion was seconded by David <br />Smith approved 9.0 <br /> <br />13. Wild Fires <br />a. Flood Hazard <br />Track 4, Start/Stop: 31 :30.51 :05 <br />Action: A motion was made by Eric Wilkinson to accept staff recommendation for an <br />endorsement regarding the provision of technical assistance to the areas <br />affected by fires via the State's web site as follows: 1. With a disclaimer <br />distribute the 15.day reports and maps to the burn area community officials, <br />emergency and floodplain managers, and concerned citizens and victims; 2. <br />Prepare new 100. year floodplain maps with a hydrologic assumption of "new <br />existing conditions for an interim period" with a statement on the maps that a <br />map revision will take place when the watershed conditions have reestablished <br />to natural runoff conditions; 3. Deliver flood hazard maps to burn area <br />communities prior to their official approval and designation by the CWCB. <br />The 45.day reports and maps that are delivered prior to a CWCB designation <br />action will carry a notification statement disclosure "for information only." <br />Board requested a clear disclaimer that these are drafts. With the disclaimer <br />addition, the motion was seconded by Ray Wright and approved 8.0. Bob <br />Burr out of the room. <br /> <br />b. Water Supply Protection Section - Animas La Plata - Bureau of Reclamation <br />Operations, Maintenance and Replacement Committee Bylaws <br />Tape 3 Track 1 Start/Stop: 0000 - 16:48 <br />Action: A motion was made by David Smith that the Director of the CWCB and a <br />designated alternate, Randy Sealrolm attend Committee meetings as the <br />CWCB's representative when appropriate. The motion was seconded by <br />Keith Catlin and approved 9.0. <br /> <br />15. Water Supply Protection Section - Navajo Gallup Update <br />Track 1, Start/Stop: 16:48-40:00 <br />Action: A motion was made by Ray Wright to adopt staff recommendations in <br />supporting Colorado's representatives. The motion was seconded by David <br />Smith and approved 9.0. <br /> <br />16.
