The <br />District operates Silt Project facilities to supply irrigation water to 305 landowners for irrigation wiihin the <br />5,915-acre service area. The diversion on the Colorado River is in poor condition and the District plans to <br />rehabilitate it in early 2000, Total average annual deliveries for the District is 13,384 acre-feet, of which <br />3,000 acre-feet come from the Pumping Plant on the Colorado River. The Silt Water Conservancy District <br />was formed and decreed June 3, 1957 under the "Water Conservancy Acf' of the Sate of Colorado (C.R.S, <br />1953, 149-6-1 to 149-6-43,) The Natural Resources Conservation Service, Glenwood Springs Office, has <br />completed the feasibility study, Proposed funding for the project consists of a CWCS Small Project loan for <br />$100,000, a $35,000 grant from the US Bureau of Reclamation, a $25,000 grant from the Bookcliff Soil <br />Conservation District, and the remainder from the Districl.
