The general relation of the streamflow
transit losses, or gains, to discharge in the study reach and to the
time of year will be evaluated, and the effects on streamflow transit
losses of any geologic, hydrologic or physical characteristics
observed durin the reconnaissance effort also will be described.

$ 7,700

$ 2,300

$ 5,400

$ 5,960

$ 1,770

$ 4,190

$ 6,180

$ 1,830

$ 4,350

$ 43,390

$ 12,930

$ 30,460

$ 112,940 $ 33,480 $ 79,460

The USGS and CWCB have asked all parties interested in this study to assist in providing the required matching funds,
As of November 14,2002, approximately $20,000 is expected from the USBR and UCRRIP (Recovery Program). Other
entities such as the Colorado River Water Conservation District (CRWCD) and Upper Gunnison River Water
Conservancy District (UGRWCD) have expressed interest but have not yet committed any funds.

Therefore approximately $59,460 is needed to provide the necessary matching funds for this project.

Recommendation
Staff recommends that the Board request the General assembly authorize $59,460 from the Construction Fund to be
_propriated to provide the required matching funds for the USGS Gunnison River Streamflow Study.

e

Flood Protection .
