Mr. Danielson announced that his office had received
letters of interest in the system from the State of Texas, the
Bureau of Reclamation, the City of Colorado Springs, and the
Denver Water Department.

Rio Grande Compact - Compact debit reduced about
93,000 acre-feet in the current water year.

Grande Water Conservation District to allocate the

Aqenda Item 10 - Development Authoritv's Report

Mr. uli Kappus, Associate Director, Development Authority,
reported on the following:

1. Status of Satellite Monitoring System installation.

2. St. Vrain Study - Step 2 of the study approved.

3. Status of study on Green Mountain Exchange Project.

4. Status of San Luis Valley Aquifer System Study.
Meeting to discuss study schedule for September 18,

1984.

Aqenda Item 11 - South Platte Channel Proiect--Resolution
Authorizinq Riqht of Entrv

In his discussion of this item, Mr. McDonald stated that
the legislation authorizing the Chatfield Darn and
Channelization of the South Platte River provided that the
State acquire the rights-of-way for the channel project. The
Board is acquiring the lands needed and, previously by
resolution, granted the Corps of Engineers right-of-entry to
lands included in State 1 of the project. Right-of-entry is
now required for the remainder of the lands. Board action is
necessary to accomplish this.

Mr. Robbins moved, seconded by Mr. Lochhead, that the Board
approve the proposed resolution presented by the staff. The
motion was approved unanimously. (Appendix E attached)
