The staffs November 2000 presentation to the Board outlined <br />the objective, discussion, and benefits that the Program would provide to the State. A $150,000 Flood <br />Response Program was authorized in the 2001 Construction Fund Bill (SB 01-157) and enacted by the <br />Colorado General Assembly, This legislative action made ftmds available for the Flood Response <br />Program on July 1, 2001. <br /> <br />A total of $35,000 out of the $150,000 wi1l be expended during fiscal year 2002 for the <br />following purposes: 1)$25,000 to contract with a consultant to prepare a 2001 Colorado Flood <br />Docmnentation Report. 2) $10,000 to John Henz of HDR Engineering, Inc, for participation in the <br />Colorado Flood Task Force and for flood forecasting activities during the limited springlsmnmer 2001 <br />flood season, <br /> <br />The staff advises the Board that the 2001 flood season was not significant and therefore did not <br />_ cr.eat.e_alargen~e_d fOL flQodrespDnsfLdollars...
