The Superintendent's log will also note <br /> <br /> <br />the reservoir release orders given him by the State Engineer and will <br /> <br /> <br />serve as a record of such orders in the absence of other written <br /> <br /> <br />communication. The State Engineer will certify the accuracy of the <br /> <br /> <br />log when requested by the Government. <br /> <br /> <br />b. State Responsibility. The State Engineer will be responsible <br /> <br /> <br />for the accounting of all waters stored in the conservation :a:one of <br /> <br /> <br />the reservoir. The State Engineer will also be responsible for <br /> <br /> <br />determining the desired level of the conservation pool and the release <br /> <br /> <br />rates necessary for downstream i=igation requirements. The State <br /> <br /> <br />Engineer may issue oral and/or written orders directly to the Reservo.ir <br /> <br /> <br />Superintendent for release to be made from the conservation pool. o. <br /> <br /> <br />orders will be confirmed in writing as soon thereafter as practicable. <br /> <br /> <br />Conflicts regarding release orders will be mutually resolved by the <br /> <br /> <br />Government and the State Engineer. <br /> <br /> <br />c. Government responsibility. The District Engineer I Omaha <br /> <br /> <br />District, will issue flood control release orders directly to the <br /> <br /> <br />Reservoir Superintendent. A copy of the written order will be furnished <br /> <br /> <br />to the State Engineer. <br /> <br /> <br />Article 10. Operation and Maintenance. The operation and <br /> <br /> <br />maintenance of all physiqal features of the project not otherwise <br /> <br /> <br />specifically assigned or leased to the State will be the responsibil- <br /> <br />ity of the Government. <br /> <br />-10- . <br />
