Deliverables: Deliverables will include maps of the Colorado River and Arkansas River <br />watersheds identifying location of tamarisk and Russian-olive infestations, These maps will be <br />accompanied by a report that outlines the inventory protocols; tables that record GPS coordinates, <br />infestation density/maturity, vegetative types, and terrain; and a photo record of most sites surveyed, The <br />photo record may be in a CD-ROM format. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the Board request the General assembly to authorize $52,500 from the Construction Fund <br />to be appropriated to the Colorado Water Conservation Board for conducting an inventory of acres infested by <br />tamarisk and other non-native invasive phreatophytes in the Arkansas and Colorado River Basins in cooperation <br />with the Tamarisk Coalition and/or with the U,S, Dept. of the Interior, as may be authorized in proposed federal <br />legislation, The CWCB funds shall not exceed 50% of the actual total costs on conducting the inventory, <br /> <br />Flood Protection.
