The existing privately owned Jackson <br /> <br />Lake Dam and Reservoir will be purchased and converted from <br /> <br />irrigation use to recreation and fish and wildlife uses. In <br /> <br />addition, 15,575 acres of project land will be set aside for a <br /> <br />wildlife management unit and a S-1/2-mile-Iong cold water fishery <br /> <br />will be established downstream from Narrows Dam. <br /> <br />Narrows Dam, to be located about 7 miles upstream from Fort <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Morgan, will be an earthfill structure 147 feet high and about <br />22,400 feet long. The reservoir will have a total controlled <br /> <br />capacity of 973,185 acre-feet at the top of the flood control <br /> <br />-2- <br />
