Fulton Irrigation Ditch Company

INTRODUCTION
The Fulton Irrigation Ditch Company (FIDe) is applying for a loan in the amount of $170,000 to
make repairs to their existing diversion structure. The estimated total cost of the project is
$200,000, which involves the placement sheet piling, grout, and concrete at the diversion spillway.
Please see the attached project summary and map.

BACKGROUND
The FIDC, located in Adams County, owns and operates the Fulton Ditch to deliver direct flow
irrigation water for the benefit of the shareholders. Water is diverted from the South Platte River at
the Company's headgate, located about 5 miles southwest from the City of Brighton, to a 37,628
acre servICe area.

In late summer of 2003 the FIDC identified flows migrating under the existing spillway, which
could result in the undermining and failure of the spillway and the adjoining diversion gates, if not
repaired immediately.

FEASIBILITY STUDIES
The FIDC has completed a feasibility study for the project. The completed study addresses water
rights, alternative analysis, and a project financial summary.
