The estimated total cost of the project is <br />$200,000, which involves the placement sheet piling, grout, and concrete at the diversion spillway. <br />Please see the attached project summary and map. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br />The FIDC, located in Adams County, owns and operates the Fulton Ditch to deliver direct flow <br />irrigation water for the benefit of the shareholders. Water is diverted from the South Platte River at <br />the Company's headgate, located about 5 miles southwest from the City of Brighton, to a 37,628 <br />acre servICe area. <br /> <br />In late summer of 2003 the FIDC identified flows migrating under the existing spillway, which <br />could result in the undermining and failure of the spillway and the adjoining diversion gates, if not <br />repaired immediately. <br /> <br />FEASIBILITY STUDIES <br />The FIDC has completed a feasibility study for the project. The completed study addresses water <br />rights, alternative analysis, and a project financial summary. <br />
