The Tunnel Water Company operates the <br />collection system and tunnel to supply water to 2 major shareholders, the Water Supply and Storage <br />Company and the Windsor Reservoir and Canal Company, Water is used for irrigation within the 100,000- <br />acre service area, A portion of the tunnel collapsed in May 29,2000, cutting off water deliveries, The <br />Company needs to rehabilitate the tunnel prior to the 2001 irrigation season, and is currently working on <br />the project using funds from a $1,6 million emergency loan approved by the CWCS in September 2000. <br />The average annual volume diverted is 15,085 acre-feet. The Tunnel Water Company is a mutual ditch <br />company and a nonprofit corporation registered in the State of Colorado, Don Deere, P,E. of Rocky <br />Mountain Consultants has completed engineering plans and specifications.
