<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD MEETING MINUTES <br />First National Bank <br />Brush, Colorado <br /> <br />September 10, 1975 <br /> <br />The COlorado Water Conservation Board met, pursuant to notice, at <br />9:00 a.m., Benjamin F. Stapleton, ~hairman, presiding. <br /> <br />MR. STAPLETON: We will call this regularly scheduled meeting of the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board to order. <br /> <br />I'd like to introduce the members and staff of the Water Board. I <br />think most of you have participated from time to time in our delibera- <br />tions and may know thenl. But I will start with Mr. Burr on the left, <br />Mr. Burr from Walden; Mr. Ford; Mr. Benton; Mr. Vandemoer from your <br />area; Mr. Fetcher from the Western Slope; Mr. Moses, consultant for the <br />board; Mr. Kroeger, the Vice-Chairman; Larry Sparks, the Director; and <br />Mr. Jackson from Pueblo, one of our new members; and Mr. Robbins from <br />the Attorney General's Office; and my name is Benjamin Stapleton and 1 <br />serve as chairman. <br /> <br />The first order of business is the approval of the minutes of the <br />meeting of March 20. Those meeting minutes were previously submitted <br />to the board. Are there any additions or corrections? If not, 1 will <br />entertain a motion that these minutes be approved. <br /> <br />MR. FORD: 1 so move. <br /> <br />MR. KROEGER: I second the motion. <br /> <br />MR. STAPLETON: It has been moved and seconded that the minutes of the <br />meeting of March 20 be approved. All in favor signify by saying "aye." <br />The motion is carried unanimously. <br /> <br />We will go right into the main purpose for having this meeting here at <br />Brush and that is a review of the lltatus of the Narrows Project. I <br />call on Mr. Joe Hall who is the new regional director of the Lower <br />Missouri Region of the Bureau of Reclamation. <br /> <br />MR. HALL: Gentlemen and ladies, members of the board, and your guests, <br />it is a pleasure to be here and it's a pleasure to meet you. Those of <br />you that I did not get to meet yesterday or this morning, I look forward <br />to meeting you personally. <br /> <br />I am new in the state. I have been here since July 15, but 1 have <br />visited with Mr. Sparks about your role and about the task that this <br />board undertakes. I appreciate your efforts in the difficult arena of <br />judiciously determining and developing the water resources of this <br />state. <br /> <br />I would like to introduce some members <br />because we came in the effort to answer <br />have.
