Law, Executive Director <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />Director's Report <br /> <br />Water Pollution Control RevolvinQ Fund <br /> <br />For 2002 several entities are being added to the potential funding list including: Blackhawk/Central City <br />Sanitation District, Castle Rock, Denver Southeast Suburban Water and Sanitation District, Douglas <br />County/Franktown, Englewood, Garden Valley Water and Sanitation District, Georgetown, Littleton and <br />Wellington. <br /> <br />The 2002 WPCRF Intended Use Plan will be out for public review next month, When available from the <br />Water Quality Control Commission, it will be published on our internet website ..www.cwrpda.com... The <br />Commission will taKe formal action on the Intended Use Plan at its October meeting, ' <br /> <br />The federal appropriation for 2002 is expected to be around $1,3 billion and Colorado's share is 0,8%, <br />Language in the appropriation bill will make permanent the ability to transfer funds from one state revolving <br />fund to the other, If this language is adopted by congress, the Authority may seek a legislative change to <br />provide for this flexibility, To date, $6,67 million of Clean Water grant money has been transferred to the <br />Drinking Water Revolving Fund, (The current transfer language expires on September 30, 2001,) <br /> <br />Drinkina Water Revolvina Fund <br /> <br />The 2002 DWRF Intended Use Plan is currently being drafted, When completed and released by the Board <br />of Health ,for public review in September, it also will be available on the Authority's website, The Board of <br />Health is expected to take formal action on the Intended Use Plan in NO\ember, <br /> <br />The 2002 federal appropriation is expected to be 8round $850 million, Colorado's share increased from <br />1,35% to 1.65% due to the needs identified in a recent EPA survey, This survey identified $2,5 billion of <br />drinking water infrastructure needs in Colorado O\er the next 20 years, <br /> <br />Animas-La Plata Project <br /> <br />The project's proposed budget for FY2002 is expected to be around $16 million, The Authority is currently <br />involved with the Bureau of Reclamation in drafting an amendment to the existing cost-sharing agreement. <br /> <br />Future Board Meetinas <br /> <br />September 7 - Denver <br />October 5 - Durango <br />
