<br />.. <br /> <br />Agenda Item 24, Ruedi 2012 Contract <br />May 19-20, 2003 Board Meeting <br />Page 4 of 4 <br /> <br />Interested Parties <br /> <br />tit <br /> <br />This memorandum and the attached contract have been e-mailed to representatives of <br />Reclamation, the Service, the Colorado River Water Conservation District, the Southeastern <br />Colorado Water Conservancy District, the Rue~i Water and Power Authority, Basalt Water <br />Conservancy District and certain Ruedi water contractors. I have requested that they either provide <br />written correspondence or appear and comment at the Board meeting. The interested parties are <br />generally satisfied with the proposed contract with: the exception of the shortage sharing provisions. <br />However, they recognize that the possibility of shortages between now and 2012 is very unlikely and <br />therefore have agreed not to oppose this contract in the interest of showing support for the recovery <br />program. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Staff recommends Board approval of the proposed contract with Reclamation and the Service <br />to deliver up to 10,825 AF of water from Ruedi Reservoir to benefit endangered fish species in the <br />IS-Mile Reach of the Colorado River. <br /> <br />Attachment: <br />DRS <br /> <br />c:lmydocslagendaRuedi52003.bdm,doc e <br /> <br />tit <br /> <br />Flood Protection.
