EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

tit Agenda Item 5. a. - d. includes 4 floodplain studies/maps proposed for CWCB action. A brief
summary of the studies is presented below.

1. FPR 99-479: A Floodplain Information Report (FIR) dated January 1999, including Flood
Hazard Boundary Maps (FHBMs) dated November 22,1977, was prepared by the CWCB for
Park County (unincorporated areas). The study includes approximate floodplain information for
streams in the county.

2. FPR 99-480: A Flood Insurance Study (FIS), City of Blackhawk, Colorado, Gilpin County,
dated April 16, 1984, was prepared by FEMA. The study includes approximate and detailed
floodplain information for streams in the community. The FrS was based on floodplain
conditions in the community prior to the legalization of gaming and the subsequent
"boomtown" development in Blackhawk. It does not reflect substantial development in the
floodplains of Blackhawk, which has significantly changed portions of the city's floodplains.

3. FPR 99-481: A Flood Insurance Study (FIS), Larimer County, Colorado,Unincorporated
Areas, revised July 17, 1997, was prepared by FEMA. The study includes approximate and
detailed floodplain information for streams in the county. It revises the March 18,1996 study
with the sole purpose of correcting a drafting error in the 1996 delineation of the floodplain for
Dry Creek in the vicinity of the City of Fort Collins.

4. FPR 99-482: A draft Floodplain Information Report (FIR), dated January 1999, including a
Flood Hazard Boundary Map (FHBM), dated November 8, 1974, was prepared by the CWCB
for the Town of Fleming, Logan County. The study includes approximate floodplain
