The DOW and DPOR documented that a natural environment is present in the form of a brown and
brook trout fishery.
. . Based on the DOW and DPOR's biological recommendation, flows of20 cfs, summer, and 9 cfs, winter,
are necessary to preserve the natural environment to a reasonable degree. As per the Division 4
Engineer's office, senior water rights do not present a water availability problem within this reach of
stream.

. CWCB staff has conducted a water availability analysis and determined these amounts are available for
the Board's appropriation.
. CWCB staff has determined that adequate water supplies exist such that the natural environment may be
preserved without limiting or foreclosing the exercise ofyalid existing water rights.

CONSULT A nONS:

IPIDPOR: Jay Skinner

6/25/98

DWR: Wayne Schieldt

6/25/98

CWCB STAFF:

Prepared By: Uppendahl
.

7/1/98

C:\MARK\NEW _RECSIDIV _ 4\1998\WPIREC_SUM_ RPT#3.doc

-
