The study "Scope of Work" has seventy two performance
tasks.

Study Progress Report

The general contract: The study has encountered a number of General Contractor problems during the
perfonnance of study tasks. Currently, the Corps is performing a number of study tasks in-house. This change in
the administration has resulted in a substantial study products delay. The Corps has elected to perform the
reservoir routing study in-house. The general contract is in-progress to be amended with the same completion
performance schedule.

Contracts by Others: The general contract and the "Scope of Work" requires that two major study tasks be
accomplished by the sponsor (CWCB). These two tasks requirements are: A Storage Use Patterns Analysis and A
Recreation Master Plan.

The CWCB has contracted the professional services of Brown and Caldwell to perform the Storage Use Patterns
Analysis. The Board has received a draft report dated September 2002. The fmdings in the report are under
review by staff. I will make a brief presentation to the Board and present the preliminary study fmdings.

The CWCB and Colorado State Parks staffs are working jointly to prepare a " Scope of Work" that will evaluate
the impacts of an increased storage in the existing conservation pool. I will make a brief presentation of the study
objectives and study product.

e

Board Action
No Board action will be requested. This agenda item is a information item only.

Flood Protection . Water Supply Planning and Finance. Stream and Lake Protection
Water Supply Protection.
