MR. MAYNES: And perhaps get into a conflict with the City of Durango
with regard to abandonment.

MR. STAPLETON: That's a possibility, yes.

Are there any further questions from members of the Board?

MR. BURR: I wasn't here last meeting, but I understand the commissioners
from Jackson County and also the Jackson County Water Conservancy Board
made objections to these in Jackson County, which is six lakes on here.
And they're back on here now, and I wondered if they have withheld their
objections on these lakes being put back on there. All of the commis-
sioners together with the Conservancy District didn't care to vote for
them, and of course it didn't include me because I wan I there. But it
will mean that I will object to these six lakes at this time.

MR. STAPLETON: My recollection of the meeting was that whatever lakes
they objected to we approved at that time and these must be additional
lakes.

MR. BURR: Are these different ones?

I

MR. SPARKS: Yes.

MR. BURR: Over and above their objections?

MR. SPARKS: Yes.

MR. STAPLETON: I got a nice note
me for the opportunity to appear,
the issue.

from one of the commissioners thanking
and stating that they knew:they lost

MR. FETCHER: I would like to know
Fred or someone else with the City
I have only underlined three here.

exactly what lakes are involved from
of Durango. They have mentioned four.
What are the four lakes, Fred?

MR. KROEGER: There is the Upper Florida Reservoir; Lily Lake, Castilleja,
which is listed here, and one other.

MR. FETCHER: I mean those that are on our list.

MR. KROEGER: Castilleja<is the only one of the city ones that I rec-
ognize in that group.

MR. FETCHER: But you mentioned Big and Little Emerald.

MR. KROEGER: I think eighty-five acre-feet of capacity in Big Emerald
is overstated by three times also.

MR. FETCHER: "But it isn't involved with the City of Durango?

MR. KROEGER: No, it is not. But I recognize these things as being
grossly overstated on some that I was strongly concerned about. My con-
cern is that if the Division of Wildlife is doing that kind of sloppy

I

-l8-
