The CWCB and the Division of Water Resources are co-sponsoring a study of the <br />"Hydrogeologic Characteristics of the Shallow Aquifers of the Boulder-Fort Collins-Geeley- <br />Brighton Area of the Colorado Front Range," The study was initiated in 1996 and is part of the <br />U,S, Geological Survey Infrastructure Resources Project. In November 1996, the Board agreed <br />to contribute $30,000 from Severance Tax Operational Account moneys allocated to the CWCB <br />for FY 97 and FY 98 towards the study (Contract Number C-153766). <br /> <br />The fust 2 years of the 3-year project are now complete, and the project is on time and within <br />budget. Two publications have been produced so far as part of the Infrastructure Project in <br />partial fulfillment of the reporting requirements of the joint funding agreement. These <br />publications are entitled: <br /> <br />· S.G. Robson and 1.S, Heiny, "Front Range Infrastructure Resources Project, Water Resources <br />Activities," USGS Fact Sheet 113-98,4 pages, October 1998, <br /> <br />· S.G.
