Water Supply Planning and Finance
Consultant Recommendations for the Statewide Water Supply Initiative and the
Colorado River Return Project

On Tuesday, January 21, 2003 the consultant selection committee for the Statewide Water
Supply Initiative (SWSI) and the Colorado River Return Project (CRRP) will interview six
consulting firms, three for each study, interested in providing professional services towards the
completion of each 8tudy. The committee will report at the Board meeting the results of the
interviews and recommend the preferred consultant for staff to commence contract negotiations
with. For the Board's information only, prior to the meeting, the executive sUlllffiaries from each
consultant prop08al are attached.

The staff will solicit guidance from the Board regarding the consultant contract negotiations
relative to cost, final scope of work, and selection of technical review committees.

Staff will also discuss the assignment of the internal project manager for the administration
of each project. It is staffs intention to provide study progress reports at each Board meeting during
the term of each study.
