Colorado Project WET is part of DOW's 5-year Aquatic
Resource Education Plan with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The program also receives
funding through our 5-year cooperative agreement with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. The goal
of Colorado Project WET is to promote the awareness, appreciation, knowledge, and stewardship of
water resources through the development and dissemination of classroom ready teaching aids. It is
our belief that informed citizens are more likely to participate in the decision making process and to
make a difference through their actions by recognizing not only the scientific but also the social and
cultural aspects of water. We invite educators, resource managers, community leaders, and
concerned citizens to join us in our workshops.

Status 1997-1998

The program utilizes personal services contracts to achieve the goals outlined within the 5-year
Aquatic Resource Education Plan.
