Engineer at Flaming Gorge, that will meet the
group at Vernal. It is about 119 miles from here
to Vernal; about a 2~ hour drive .so if-people are
planning on driving their own cars I think you
should plan to meet at the airport. It's approxi-
mately 55 miles to the Gorge and we would plan to
be there around 10 o'clock. Now we have made
special arrangements at the Dam. They are still
working on the parapet wall, the elevator shaft
and a few of those things at the Dam so there is
only iimited access across the Dam. It will be
necessary for all of the cars to go in a caravan
to cross the Dam. They are making arrangements
with the contractor to pass the cars over around
10 o'clock.

The plans would be then to spend two hours.
in the morning going around through the Dam,
through the powerplants and viewing the construc-
tion there.

There is an Inn with pretty adequate facili-
ties. It's about 30 minutes from the Dam. We
have made reservations for 30 people for lunch.
If there are going to be more than that I would
like to know and I'll call for a counting of
hands in the luncheon arrangement.

After lunch we will tour the recreation
areas, leaving the Dam about 3 o'clock in order
to get back to Vernal around four. It is
necessary to get there, as I understand it, so
the plane can go back to Craig and the Water
Board can participate in an evening meeting.

I assume that the plane will be full. That
would account for 24 people as I understand it,
flying from here to Vernal. If there are addi-
tional people beyond those that are in the plane,
I would like to have a show of hands so I could
make the luncheon arrangements. Let's see, one,
two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Weil,
I think that's a pretty good arrangement then.
By the way, this lunch will be Dutch.
