Fruitland Mesa. In general the Bureau,
in making its studies, have been follow-
ing the priorities set up by the Board."

"Do any members of the Board have
any questions?"

"One further priority that should be
determined at this time for advancement
is in the Yampa-White area. The Savery-
Pot Hook also which has been on the list
for a long time."

"Do the priorities in Colorado on
participating and other projects coin-
cide with the statement that has just
been made by Dean Crawford? I have been
told by Mr. Larson that before the Bureau
of Reclamation can go to work on a project
it must have the official approval of the
State of Colorado and this Board is the
Board authorized to give that approval and
I would like to know if the priorities as
listed by Dean Crawford coincide with the
Bureau's program."

"Yes, in general. You must get this
picture. When we asked for funds, the
program was set up some time in advance.
There may be a few changes after the
actual appropriations are made but when
the program was originally set cup we were
in agreement."

"It is necessary before you can con-
sider a project seriously to have the
approval of this Board. Is not that cor-
rect?"

"I think yes because we certainly try
to cooperate with the Water Board."

"Under what conditions was the DeBeque
project investigated?" -

"That was, to some extent, an excep-
tion. We had a lot of pressure brought
on us from the people on the Western Slope.
