These stream segments <br />were identified as Priority #2 on the Instream Flow Work Plan. <br /> <br />Stream <br />Spring Creek <br /> <br />CounMies) <br />Gunnison <br /> <br />Lake <br />Iron Fen (aka Iron Bog) <br /> <br />Countv(ies ) <br />Gunnison <br /> <br />This stream and lake are being considered because CWCB Staffhas received requests from the Rocky <br />Mountain Biological Laboratory (RMBL) and the High Country Citizens' Alliance (HCCA). The <br />CWCB has also filed statements of opposition regarding water rights applications filed by the United <br />States Forest Service on this stream reach and naturallake/fen, This stream segment and lake were <br />identified as Priority #8 on the Instream Flow Work Plan. <br /> <br />Stream <br />Big Blue Creek <br /> <br />Countv(ies) <br />Gunnison <br /> <br />These stream segments are being considered because CWCB Staff has received a request from the <br />BLM. This stream segment is being proposed by the BLM because it contains cutthroat trout species <br />and these fish species are listed or could be listed in the future by federal agencies. Streams which <br />contained these species were identified as Priority #3 on the Instream Flow Work Plan. <br /> <br />2002 Work Plan <br /> <br />Staff is currently in the process of updating the Instream Flow Work Plan, The updated Work Plan <br />will prioritize identified stream segments and natural lakes for field data collection efforts by the <br />CWCB staff and other parties, Any party who would like the CWCB to consider a stream or natural <br />lake for protection in 2003 should contact Board staff prior to January 31,2002. Streams and lakes <br />currently listed on the Instream Flow Work Plan will remain on the list unless the reconunending <br />party requests it to be withdrawn. <br /> <br />CWCB staff is planning on holding a workshop in February 2002 to discuss and prioritize all <br />identified stream reaches and natural lakes. All parties on the ISF Subscription Mailing list will be <br />notified of this planned workshop. Parties interested in participating in this workshop should contact <br />CWCB staff. <br /> <br />Staff will prioritize the identified stream reaches and natural lakes using the criteria established by <br />the staff and ratified by the Board at its March 2000, Board Meeting.
