General Backl!:round <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Instream Flow Workshop Summarv <br /> <br />On February 27,2001, the CWCB staffheld a workshop to request instream flow and natural lake level <br />recommendations. Participants who attended the workshop heard or received written requests and/or <br />comments for instream flow water right protection from the Division of Wildlife (DOW), Division of <br />Parks and Outdoor Recreation (DPOR), Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Bureau of Reclamation <br />(BREC), City of Boulder, Trout Unlimited, Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory (RMBL), and the <br />High Country Citizens Alliance and other interested persons. The intent of the workshop was to give <br />the staff and Board direction on how it should prioritize future instream flow and natural lake <br />appropriations and/or acquisitions. <br /> <br />Proposed Instream Flow Recommendations and their relative Priority <br /> <br />The Colorado Water Conservation Board staff is considering Instream Flow and Natural Lake Level <br />Recommendations on the following streams and lakes in 2002: <br /> <br />Water Division 1 <br />Stream <br />South Fork South Platte River <br /> <br />Countv <br />Park County <br /> <br />This stream segment is being considered because CWCB Staff has received a request from Trout <br /> <br />Unlimited. Trout Unlimited has done considerable stream habitat improvements to this stream <br /> <br />Flood Protection. Water Project Planning and Financing. Stream and Lake Protection <br />Water Supply Protection. Conservation Planning <br />
