The estimated total cost of the <br />projeet is $500,000. Please see the attaehed projeet summary and map. <br /> <br />e Backqround <br />The OCSIC, located in Weld County, operates the Owl Creek Supply Diteh for the benefit of the <br />shareholders by providing transportation of irrigation water. The Company owns no water rights <br />and no reservoirs, and operates as an extension of the Eaton Diteh. The stoekholders in the <br />OCSIC own water through their stoek in the Larimer and Weld Irrigation Company, the Larimer <br />and Weld Reservoir Company, the Windsor Reservoir and Canal Company, and CST. The <br />facilities consist of 12 miles of diteh and assoeiated hydraulie struetures. The hydraulie struetures <br />(eheek structures, drop struetures, measuring weirs) are severely deteriorated. The OCSIC wants <br />to rehabilitate these struetures. <br /> <br />Feasibility Studies <br />The OCSIC retained Duane Smith P.E., of Smith Geoteehnical, to conduet a feasibility study. The <br />study was eompleted Deeember 1999 and ineludes an assessment of altematives available for <br />rehabilitation of the diteh hydraulie structures. <br /> <br />The Owl Creek Supply and Irriqation Company <br />The OCSIC is a mutual diteh eompany and a non-profit eorporation registered in the State of <br />Colorado. There are 145 shareholders and 996.5 shares of stoek. The OCSIC has the power to <br />set annual assessments to be paid by the shareholders, the power to eut off water deliveries to <br />shareholders that fail to pay their assessments, and the power to offer stoek for sale to pay <br />baek assessments. The OCSIC delivers water to a 12,000-aere serviee area located north east <br />of Greeley. Approximately 10,000 aeres of the serviee area is eurrently irrigated. <br /> <br />e <br />
