BASIS FOR INSTREAM FLOW RECOMMENDATION

The BLM documented that a natural environment is present in the form of a brook and brown trout
fishery.

. Based on the BLM's biological recommendation, flows of2.5 cfs, summer, and 1.75 efs, winter, are
necessary to preserve the natural environment to a reasonable degree.
. CWCB staffhas conducted a water availability analysis and determined these amounts are available for
the Board's appropriation.
. CWCB staffhas determined that adequate water supplies exist such that the natural environment may be
preserved without limiting or foreclosing the exercise of valid existing water rights.
