Section 36-20-107 empowers the Executive Director of the Department <br />of Natural ResourceS (In cons~ltat10n wIth a ten-member adv1sory commIttee) <br />to 1ssue rules and regulations required to lmplement the Weather <br />Modification Act. The rules Include the 1nformatlon needed by persons <br />apply1ng for licenses and perm1ts. Applicants may also wish to read the <br />Act. <br /> <br />A. General Information <br /> <br />A license IS granted for expertise In a ~peclfled form of weather <br />mod1flcatlon teChnology (e.g., snow augmentat10n. hall suppress1on). A <br />permit Is reqUIred for each weather modlflcatlon project and projects <br />must be directed by persons who hold a current Colorado weather <br />modification license. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />6. Appllcat"lon for L1cense <br /> <br />(1) Use Application for License (Form WMl) to apply for a license. <br />Form WMl should be submitted at least 45 days before the begInnIng <br />date of proposed project use. <br /> <br />(2) LIcensees must meet at least one of the follOWIng requIrements: <br /> <br />a. Eight years professional exper1ence In weather modIfIcation <br />field research or operations w1th at least three years as <br />project director. <br /> <br />c. Baccalaureate degree In engineerIng. mathematIcs or physical <br />sciences and three years experience In weather modIficatIon <br />fIeld research or operations. <br /> <br />c. 6accalaureate degree In meteorology or oaccalaureate degree <br />In en91neerlng (whIch Includes. or Is In additIon to, <br />twenty-five semester hours of meteorology) and two years. <br />experIence In weather modlflcatlon.op€ratlons or research.. <br /> <br />d. CertIfication as manager by the Weather Modlflcatlon <br />Association. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />(3) A license ree of llOO Is required of all dpollcants includIng <br />persons employed by commercIal (1rms. government and non.prorit <br />agoncles. <br /> <br /> <br />~. <br /> <br />
