The West Rhone Lateral Ditch Company <br />operates the lateral to supply water to 14 shareholders for irrigation within the 1 OS-acre service <br />area. The lateral is in poor condition and leaks badly. The Company needs to rehabilitate the <br />concrete portion of the lateral, and establish a new headgate on the GVIC Mainline. This work <br />needs to be completed in spring 2001 to allow the Company to access NRCS cost share funds for <br />the project. The average annual volume diverted is 541 acre-feet. The West Rhone Lateral <br />Ditch Company is a mutual ditch company and a nonprofit corporation registered in the State of <br />Colorado. The Natural Resources Conservation Service has completed preliminary plans and <br />specifications for the project and the Company has completed the feasibility study.
