CWCS <br /> <br />FROM: Dan Merriman <br /> <br />DATE: April 23, 1993 <br /> <br />SUBJECf: Agenda Item 9a, May 6-7,1993, Board Meeting.- <br />Instream Flow Program: Preliminary Notice <br />Water Division 1 - little Dry Creek <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />The attached Preliminary Notice is for a stream segment on little Dry Creek in <br />Water Division 1 south of Denver in Arapahoe County (see attached map). This <br />recommendation is based on analyses by the Colorado Division of Wildlife (CDOW) and <br />CWCB staffs with supporting data provided by Dr. David Cooper. The recommendations <br />were based primarily upon fish surveys and stream cross section hydrology utilizing the <br />IFIM/PHABSIM methodologies. Additional data on the interaction between the riparian <br />zone and the stream was also considered. The CWCB staff met with the Division 1 <br />Engineer and members from his staff on December 17, 1992, to discuss water availability, <br />and the attached recommendations reflect their comments. <br /> <br />The Preliminary Notice was distributed for public review and comment on April 9, <br /> <br />1993. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation <br /> <br />The staff recommends that the Board advance the recommendations presented in the <br />attached Preliminary Notice to Final Notice status. <br /> <br /> DCM/JB ( <br /> Attachments <br /> " <br />e DIVI_PR!l.MEM <br /> I <br />
