Should rise in 1971 to 6,042 feet with a live storage
content of 1,l30,OOO acre-feet.

Held above elevation 6,030 until December 1, for
recreational purposes.

F. Reservoir is about 1 foot higher than a year ago,

2. Should rise slightly higher because compact releases at
Glen Canyon Dam will probably exceed Lower Basin water
requirements.

MR. CRANDALL:

"On water contracting, this has been a
rather challenging and unique facet of our
Storage Project operations. It is the con-
tracting of water out of the main stem reser-
voirs, largely for industrial purposes and
the industry is large thermal powerplants.

In addition to water contracting, we have
various arrangements with the Department to
receive the responsibility for looking after
the qualitative requirements that are imbedded
in various agreements, namely, for air quality
and water quality.

The first three units at the Four Corners
plant fall into this category and the company
has contracted for the installation of, I think
this is about a $7 million job, Venturi Wet
Scrubber system which will do a great deal to
clean up the air quality problem at Four Cor-
ners.
