Conunissioner of the Bureau of Reolaraation. at the <br />invitation of the Board. appeared and in a general way presented re- <br />clamation develocments in the state and referred to the part whioh the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board has had in this work. <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />There Oame before the Board the question of paying for the special <br />deputy oommissioners who have beenemployeu.on the Laramie River to <br />enforoe the deoree of the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. M. C. <br />Hinderlider. State Engineer. submitted an estimate that this expense <br />would involve $420.00 for the month of July. $420.00 for the month of <br />August and an estimate of $410.00 for the month of September, making a <br />total of $1680.00. <br /> <br />After discussion it was ~oved by Mr. Carpenter and seoonded by <br />Judge O'Rourke that the proposed expenditure for the enforoement of <br />the Supreme Court deoree on the Laramie River. whioh oonstitutes en <br />interstate matter. be approved for payment by t~e>Coi6rau? Water <br />Conservation Board on the basis of the figures submitted by Mr. <br />Hinderlider for the months of July and August. leaving any expenditures <br />for the month of September 1940 for further':uthorization. <br /> <br />',.- <br />The motion was duly passed and approved; <br /> <br />State Engineer M. C. Hinderlider who is --qolorado t s Conunis.sioner for <br />the administration of the Rio Grande Compaot pre'sented to the Board the <br />finanoia1 requirements to meet Colorado's share of th!"/:,administration of <br />the Rio Grande Compaot. After disoussion it was agreed that any action <br />on this matter be deferred until the next meeting of the Board and that <br />Director Stone. State Engineer M. C. Hinderlider and Chief Engineer <br />C. L. Patterson of the Colorado Water Conservation Board. make a study <br />of the financial requirements to pay Colorado's share~r the administration <br />of the Rio Grande Compact and make a recommendation at the next meeting of <br />the Board. <br /> <br />Chief Engineer Patterson submitted to the Board certain questions <br />of policy whioh should be determined with respect to the pending inter_ <br />state litigation on the ~orth Platte. <br /> <br />After ~soussion it was moved by Mr. Carpenter and seconded by <br />1~. Dille that Director Stone be instructed to review these question~ <br />further 'Nith the attorneys in the North Platte oase and Chief Engineer <br />Patterson who is engaged in this oase and make suoh recommendations as <br />may be necessary at the next meeting of the Board. <br /> <br />Meeting; adjourned to reoonvene at 1.30 p. m. <br /> <br />Meeting; reoonvened at 1:45 p. m.
