Return flows <br />and seepage were picked up by a tailwater ditch at the bottom of the meadow. The tailwa. <br />ter ditch carried water 10 the north (downstream) to irrigate bottomlands along the west side <br />of the Blue River near the Slate Creek confluence. <br />
