The Poudre Valley Canal and the Cobb Lake improvements have been <br />designed and constructed. The design on Annex No.8 and Windsor No. 8 are currently underway. The construction of <br />Elder Reservoir commenced in May of 2001, constructed by Zak Dirt, from Longmont, CO. Elder Reservoir is tentatively <br />scheduled to be completed by June of 2002. <br /> <br />4. Owl Creek Suoplv and Ditch Company - Hydraulic Structure Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: HB 00-1419 <br />Water Source: Cache La Poudre <br />Tenus of Loan: $450,000 @ 4.00% for 30-years <br /> <br />County: Weld - N. of Greeley <br />Project Yield: 30,000 acre feet <br />Project Type: Structure Rehabilitation <br /> <br />The Owl Creek Supply and Irrigation Company operates and maintains 12 miles of the Owl Creek Ditch. The <br />existing hydraulic structures along the 12 miles of ditch, such as; check structures, drop structures, measuring weirs, <br />flumes, gates, etc., have severely deteriorated over the years and are in the need of replacement. The proposed project <br />involves the replacement of 14 major structures, 55 flwnes, 10 meter gates, and 30 headgates, to be designed by Smith <br />Geotechnical, Ft. Collins, Colorado. Construction commenced in November of 200 I and is anticipated to be completed <br />by August of 2002. <br /> <br />5. North Poudre Irrigation Comoanv - Reservoirs No.4, 5 and Indian Creek Rehabilitatio!l_ <br /> <br />Authorization: HB 98-173 <br />Water Source: Cache La Poudre <br />Tenus of Loan: $1,107,000 @ 4.04% for 20 yrs. <br /> <br />County: Weld - N. of Fort Collins <br />Project Yield: 9,363 acre feet <br />Project Type: Reservoir Rehabilitation <br /> <br />This project involves the rehabilitation of Reservoirs 4, 5 and Indian Creek. The Irrigation Company has retained the <br />services of Smith Geotechnical, out of Fort Collins, Colorado to prepare design plans and specifications for the <br />proposed improvements. Improvements to Reservoir No.5 were designed and completed in 1999. Reservoir 4 is <br />currently under design and is tentatively scheduled for coustruction in the fall of2003. The proposed improvements to <br />Indian Creek Reservoir involve a new 500-ft.long spillway, replacement of the outlet structure, new toe drains, and <br />reshaping the downstream dam face. The proposed improvements to Reservoir No.4 include, relocation ofthe <br />spillway to the center of the dam, replacing the existing outlet structure and Parshall flume, new toe drains, rip rap <br />placement, and reshaping the upstream face of the dam. The design for Indian Creek Reservoir is complete and <br />construction was awarded to Zak Dirt, Longmont Colorado. Indian Creek Reservoir is anticipated to be completed by <br />June of 2002. <br /> <br />6. Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Companv <br /> <br />Authorization: SB-97-008 <br />Water Source: Lost Canyon Creek <br />Tenus of Loan: $200,000@3.75% for 30-years <br /> <br />County: Montezuma - NE of Cortez <br />Project Yield: 4,287 ac. ft. <br />Project Type: Reservoir and Ditch Rehab. <br /> <br />This $270,000 project is the rehabilitation ofthe Swnmit Reservoir Dam outlet works and the repair and improvements <br />to the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company's water collection and distribution facilities. The Cortez office of <br />Natural Resource Conservation Service prepared the construction plans and specifications. Construction for the <br />Walker Drops improvements commenced in March of 1999, by Noland, Inc., of Mancos, CO., and was completed in <br />July of 1999. The second to last 1 phase of the project has been designed and is currently under construction. That <br />current project is anticipated to be complete by February of2002. The overall project is anticipated to be completed <br />by the spring of 2003. . <br /> <br />7.
