This is an application for ground water rights, storage rights, approval of a plan for
augmentation, and change of water rights including exchange on Bear Creek, Haystack Gulch, and
Corral Creek near Evergreen in Jefferson and Clear Creek Counties (see attached map). Applicant
oWns and operates the Mount Evans Outdoors Educational Laboratory School (OELS), which is
located in Haystack Canyon. Applicant plans to use ground water via OELS Wells Nos. 1-3 and
potentially three additional wells to supply water to the School. The OELS property has
historically been supplied with water from the Haystack Gulch Pipeline, OELS Well Nos. I and 2,
and Haystack Gulch Reservoirs I and 2. Applicant is now requesting to also supply the OELS
property with water from the OELS Well No.3 and Jackson Trout Pond.

Applicant is requesting the right to store water in Jackson Trout Pond under an appropriation date
of September 12, 1994 and in Haystack Reservoirs Nos. I and 2 under a 1907-appropriation date.
Applicant proposes to change the decreed uses for 0.14 cfs of the Hodgson Ditch water rights to
include augmentation, replacement, exchange and storage purposes. This water would then be
exchanged, with a priority date of April 29, 1997, from the Hodgson Ditch up to Haystack
Reservoirs Nos. I and 2, Jackson Trout Pond, and the locations of the proposed wells. Wastewater
is disposed of via lagoon system and land application. Applicant proposes to replace out-of-priority
depletions associated with the ground water use and reservoir and lagoon evaporation with the
Hodgson Ditch water and with releases from the OELS' reservoirs.

CWCB Approoriations

The Board has the following pending instream flow appropriations that could be injured by this
application:

Case No. Stream Amount (cfs) AOl'roP.
