assisted in the water supply studies for a
fish pool there, which is to be included in
the Ramah Dam.

The Gunnison River Basin. The Colorado
Water Conservation Board is now in the process
of beginning a coordinated survey of the Gunni-
son Basin in cooperation with the Soil Conser-
vation Service. This is being done under
authority of Section 6 of the Watershed Protec-
tion and Flood Prevention Act.

"I would like to say first that mimeographed
copies of all this material are available up
here on the stage for anyone that wants them.
To point out the prime reason for bringing this
report in at this meeting, I don't know how
many people in the state or even members of
this Board are familiar with the time this work
has been going on. This has been going on for
approximately two years and Stan's been spend-
ing virtually all of his time on it. These are
small projects; they are not spectacular at all
from the standpoint of structures or from the
standpoint of money. They are very important,
of course, to the people who are directly
affected by them. I did want to get this before
the Board to illustrate that all of our work is
not dealing in millions and billions but we are
down into even thousands of dollars on these
smaller projects which are very important.

We have a tremendous backlog of projects
which will be investigated on a continuing
basis under this entire program. I might say
in connection with Ben's previous remarks that
we have had to take Stan off of this temporarily
to concentrate on the Narrows Project. We need
his services in that. However, it is not going
to materially affect our Public Law 566 project
work because we have a number of projects in the
