Alnoo'3 other programs, the provisions of liB 2 anended the <br /> <br /> <br />Texas Water Code to assign the responsibility for adninistering the prinary <br /> <br /> <br />state \o/ater conservation programs to the Texas W3.ter DeveloJ?l1ent Board. The <br /> <br /> <br />water conservation provisions of liB 2 assigned operating funds for municipal <br /> <br /> <br />and agricul tural water conservation progra.ns and required the llnplellentation <br /> <br /> <br />of water conservation prO',jrans by recipients of financial assistance fran the <br />Texas WOlter Developnent Board. <br /> <br />Water Assistance 8Jnd and Water Developnent Fund <br /> <br /> <br />-Section 15.106(b) , pertaininy to the Water Assistance Fund, and Section <br /> <br /> <br />17 .Il5 (b), !?9rtainin'l to the ;qater Developnent Fund, .of the Texas Water Code <br /> <br /> <br />(Attachnent~ 2 and 3) require that applicants for water supply and wastewater <br /> <br /> <br />systen lo,ms frau the Texas Water Developnent Board adopt a progran of water <br /> <br /> <br />conservation as defined in the Code. In response to the requirements in the <br /> <br /> <br />Code, the Bvard established Rules and Guidelines for the developnent and <br /> <br /> <br />subnission of water conservation plans by applicants in conjunction with a <br /> <br /> <br />lQln ap~lication (Attachnent 4). The conservation staff of ~~e Board reviews <br /> <br /> <br />the wab:r conservation plans subnitted by applicants and provides technical <br /> <br /> <br />assistance in plan developnent. Once a plan is approveJ by the Board, the <br /> <br /> <br />plan must ~ adopted by the atJPlicant, and the adopted water conservation <br /> <br /> <br />prograll ,uust be continued throughout the life of the loan. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
