A Great Sand Dunes National Park that will include the Monument and <br />thousands of acres surrounding it, Including part of the Baca should it be <br />purchased from private interests, .An ecosystem "to achieve a sufficient <br />diversity of resources." <br /> <br />Mcinnis aide Renee Howell in the nation's capital went through the bill by <br />sections and said the diversity section spoke to the objections of U,S, Rep. Joel <br />Hefley of Colorado Springs. Hefley opposes the monument being made into a <br />park because he said the area did not come up the high standards of a national <br />park. <br /> <br />Mcinnis said that pressure is being applied on two other congressional members <br />from Colorado, Bob Schaeffer of Ft.
