Thip office has <br />reviewed the letter wauld like to' request the fallawing: <br /> <br />1. Pleasepravide a capy af the updated Mantezuma Caunty <br />flaad damage preventian ardinance to' this affice. <br /> <br />2. FEMA has reviewed the new Mantezuma Caunty flaodplain <br />develapment permit and finds that the permit meets the minim'.lm <br />requirements of the NFIP. In arder to' facilitate ,the <br />develapment af a Mantezuma Caunty permit file and far training <br />purpases FEMA requests training permits be campleted far the <br />fallawing prajects: <br />. The Line Camp praject <br />. The Sunny Side Pit/Mauntaifl Stane Inc. praject <br />These permits are to' .be marked "for training purpasesanly" <br />and are to' be used in an effart to' develap experience by lacal <br />afficials in campleting the permit farm. A capy af the <br />campleted training permits and the updated flaad damage <br />preventian ardinance shauld be received in this affice by, <br />March 15, 2003. <br /> <br />Overall, we agree that Mantezuma Caunty has made great strides <br />taward implementing the requirements af the NFIP. The,wark dane <br />by Jim Siscoe develaping a new flaadplain develapment permit <br />pracess may reduce future campliance issues, Hawever we believe <br />that the' abave items, specifically the "training 'permits" are <br />needed. <br />
