Bill A .- Water Resources Review Committee

. . Bill B -- Irrigation District Law Reform

. Bill C -- Species Conservation Trust Fund

Bill A changes the name of the Committee to the Water Resources Review Committee and
makes the Committee permanent. The Committee would meet between sessions ofthe General
Assembly. The bill adjusts the Committee's membership to ensure that four members represent portions
of the Western Slope. Finally, the bill specifies that the Committee may take up to two field trips per
year.

The bill does not appropriate any funds for the Committee's operations or field trips. As a result,
and to help ensure that we do not have to pay for these activities out of our very limited operating
budget, we are recommending that $40,000 be appropriated for the operations of the special water
resources legislative review committee,

A copy of the bill has been attached for members.
