<br />SPECIAL OPERATING COMMITTEE MEETING <br />SAN LUIS VALLEY PROJECT <br />CLOSED BASIN DIVISION <br />MAY 14, 1998 <br /> <br />,- <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Garry Rowe opened the meeting at 1: 15 p.m. <br /> <br />Those in attendance were: <br /> <br />r- <br /> <br />Garry Rowe, Albuquerque Area Office, Committee Chairman <br />Ralph Curtis, Rio Grande Water Conservation District Manager <br />Allen Davey, Colorado Water Conservation Board, Committee Member <br />Richard Demlo, Alamosa Field Division Manager <br />Timothy Rapp, Alamosa Field Division Hydrologist <br />Craig Cotten, Colorado Division of Water Resources <br />Michael Blenden, Fish and Wildlife Service <br />Mike Serlet, Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />Ella Mae Herrera, Bureau of Reclamation <br />Deborah Hibbard, Rio Grande Restoration <br />Ron Gardiner, Rio Grande Restoration <br />Mike Sullivan, Colorado Division of Water Resources <br />Steve Vandiver, Colorado Division of Water Resources <br />George Whitten Jr., Rio Grande Water Conservation District <br />Nadine Smith, Alamosa Field Division <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Garry asked for comments on the agenda. Rich Demlo mentioned the mitigation letter that Ralph <br />passed out before lunch. Garry said that they would incorporate it somewhere. Allen Davey made <br />the motion to approve the agenda and George Whitten seconded it and it carried. <br /> <br />Garry asked everyone to review the minutes. Discussion was held concerning the format of the <br />minutes and it was decided that the handouts from Steve Vandiver and any others except for the <br />hydrographs that Tim passed out would be included with the minutes when they are mailed out. Allen <br />Davey brought some corrections for the November minutes with him and it was suggested that those <br />minutes include the corrections and then made final for the files. Allen made the motion to accept <br />the November minutes as corrected and George gave the second and it carried. Garry said that all <br />numbers should have units associated with them. Allen also had corrections for the March minutes <br />and they were gone over and accepted. They would be corrected and sent out again as final. Allen <br />made the motion that the March minutes be accepted as corrected and George seconded the motion <br />and it carried. <br /> <br />Garry asked for the update of the Operations and Maintenance. <br /> <br />OPERATIONS and MAINTENANCE <br /> <br />Rich Demlo said, because of the short period of time since the last meeting there isn't much to report. <br />Things have been going along routinely in light of the biofouling and the iron bacteria problems. e <br />Everyone has been doing their best to maximize production while monitoring the ground water <br />
