The Association is a non-profit
corporation in the State of Colorado with a mission to meet current and future demands for
traditional uses of the river while improving stream stability, riparian habitat, and ecosystem
function along the North Fork of the Gunnison River. NFRIC is in the study phase of river
projects estimated to cost $3 million over the next 10 or 20 years. An important aspect of the
river system is the Paonia Reservoir, and the Association wants to study its affects on the North
Fork. The study will be conducted by CSU and administered by the Association. Proposed
funding for the study consists of a CWCS grant for $55,000, and the remainder from the .
Association.

Location Map
5
