The Association is a non-profit <br />corporation in the State of Colorado with a mission to meet current and future demands for <br />traditional uses of the river while improving stream stability, riparian habitat, and ecosystem <br />function along the North Fork of the Gunnison River. NFRIC is in the study phase of river <br />projects estimated to cost $3 million over the next 10 or 20 years. An important aspect of the <br />river system is the Paonia Reservoir, and the Association wants to study its affects on the North <br />Fork. The study will be conducted by CSU and administered by the Association.
