The <br />Lower South Plalle Water Conservancy District (Enterprise) operates groundwater recharge <br />facilities to provide augmentation water for District well owners. Additional recharge and <br />augmentation is needed prior to the summer 2001 irrigation season to avoid possible curtailment <br />of junior wells by the State Engineer; The average annual volume diverted is 1,500 acre-feet <br />The Lower South Platte Water Conservancy District was formed in accordance with the Water <br />Conservation Act of Colorado. Jon Altenhofen, P.E., of the NCWCD has completed a final draft <br />feasibility study.
